Dogs aren’t allowed on ski lifts or designated runs, but you’ll often see friendly pups hanging at the base area or playing fetch after hours. At Alpine, locals know the bottom of Subway is a great after-ski fetch zone once patrol has cleared for the day.

Leashed dogs are welcome in the parking and base areas, and the surrounding neighborhood trails make for scenic snow walks with lake views.

Dogs aren’t permitted on slopes or gondolas, but the Village at Northstar has dog-friendly outdoor spaces, winter patios, and lots of people (and pup) watching.
