One year of Tahoe Dog Co. 🐾 🐕 🏔️ 💛
Share
One year ago, on September 19, TAHOE DOG CO. officially became a company.
And what a year it’s been.
When I started Tahoe Dog Co., the idea was pretty simple: celebrate the dogs who get to call Lake Tahoe home—and the humans who give them such incredible lives here.
Over this first year, there have been so many moments that made me realize this little idea was becoming something real.
I’ll never forget landing one of our first major wholesale orders and having the retailer immediately understand the brand and what we were trying to create. Seeing our products resonate with the local dog community has been an even bigger validation that there really is something special here.
Our Tahoe Dog meetups at Kiva Beach and in Tahoe City, as well as the Snowfest Dog Pull event have been my favorite days of the year—bringing together dogs, their humans, and the organizations and businesses that make Tahoe such an incredible place to be a dog.
And reaching profitability was a pretty exciting milestone, too. 😊
But what I’m proudest of is the community that has started to grow around Tahoe Dog Co.
Celebrating Year One 🎉
To celebrate our first anniversary, we’re going back to where it all started.
Our original black + yellow Tahoe Dog Co. collection, along with our original Steven, Dottie and Otto stickers, is 10% off with code YEARONE.
It’s a little thank you to everyone who has supported us, shopped with us, stopped by our booth, brought a dog to a meetup, told a friend about us, or simply followed along this first year.
Use code YEARONE for 10% off our original collection at tahoedogco.com.
Looking ahead to Year Two
There is so much I’m excited about.
Our holiday collection is coming soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you. We’re also hoping to do more with our local avalanche rescue dog teams, local rescues & shelters, and other organizations that do so much for Tahoe’s dogs and the people who love them.
On the business side, I’m looking forward to continuing to refine our products, our business model, and where we spend our time—learning what our community loves and finding more ways for Tahoe Dog Co. to give back.
But most of all, I’m looking forward to meeting more Tahoe dogs and their humans.
Because after a year of doing this, I’m even more convinced that our dogs (& their humans) have a pretty extraordinary life here—and celebrating that is still my favorite part of Tahoe Dog Co.
