☀️ Sampson & Riley’s Perfect Summer Day
🐾 Morning: Lake, Please!
Hi, we’re Sampson and Riley — two proud Tahoe Dogs. When the sun comes up over the mountains, we’re already stretching by the door. Mom grabs her coffee, we grab our leashes (okay fine, we wait for her to), and we head straight for the lake.
First stop? Hurricane Bay — calm water, no crowds, and plenty of sticks. Riley swims laps while Sampson patrols the shallows for ducks (he never catches one, but don’t tell him that). Afterward we sprawl on the warm rocks and let the sun dry our fur while Mom says things like “you’re soaked” and “don’t shake on me.” We do anyway.
🚙 Midday: Adventures on the Move
After a few hours of swimming, we pile into the car — windows down, fur flying — for a little road trip. Sometimes it’s Truckee River for a float, sometimes it’s Eagle Rock Trail for a quick climb. Snacks are mandatory. So are belly rubs.
When we stop for lunch at Fire Sign Cafe, Mom gets a sandwich while we get a bite of turkey (we have very persuasive eyes). A shady spot, some water, and a nap under the table — that’s summer magic right there.
🌸 Afternoon: Town Time
Later in the day, we like to stroll through Tahoe City or the West Shore trails, greeting every human and dog we see. People always stop to ask where our patches are from — and Mom tells them all about Tahoe Dog Co. (We wag extra hard when she does that part.)
If it’s hot, we head for Commons Beach for one last dip before dinner. Riley dives in gracefully. Sampson belly-flops. It’s tradition.
🌅 Evening: Golden Hour & Couch Time
By the time the sky turns pink, we’re back home on the deck. The air smells like pine and barbecue. Mom’s wearing her Tahoe Dog hat; we’re curled up nearby, eyes half-closed, tails twitching in dreamland.
It’s simple, it’s joyful, and it’s ours.
That’s a perfect Tahoe Dog summer day. 💛🐶
