Tahoe Dog Co. Featured in the Tahoe Daily Tribune (July 2026)

We're honored to share that Tahoe Dog Co. was recently featured in the Tahoe Daily Tribune in an article highlighting the journey that led to the creation of our company.

The story follows founder Candice Wilmuth's unexpected career transition after being laid off from Google in 2023, and how that experience ultimately led to building a business centered on community, creativity, dogs, and Lake Tahoe.

As the article shares, Tahoe Dog Co. wasn't created simply to sell products—it was created to celebrate the dogs, people, and places that make Tahoe special. Along the way, volunteering with local organizations, fostering dogs, and becoming more involved in the Tahoe community helped shape not only the business, but also a new definition of success.

Join us for the Tahoe Dog Co. Community Pack Party on Friday, July 17, from 4:00–5:30 p.m. at the Tahoe City Visitor Center as we celebrate Tahoe's amazing dog community and Tahoe Dog Co.'s selection as the North Tahoe Chamber's inaugural Featured Vendor.

The event includes community mingling, refreshments, a short welcome, and a Community Pack Walk to the Truckee River with an optional dog swim. Dogs (and their humans!) are welcome.
